  1. Why 16. Nd7 instead of Qd7++ ?

  2. You're right . . . I could have mated him much sooner. I must have been so "buzzed" with the imminence of mate that I simply couldn't imagine it could be that easy.

    Now I'm wondering if I gave him an opening from which he could have gotten out of . . . and if so, why he didn't. He sealed his fate by losing his queen. I have no idea why he would have done something that stupid.

    There's no way to control the "level" at which he plays -- each opponent just gets incrementally more difficult with each game. This must be an incredibly easy level.

    BTW, leave your email address and I'll invite you on chess.com. I have no human partners and playing the machine can be incredibly soul-destroying.

  3. well, it's easier to 'see' the more better moves on review. And if you don't mind, I'll have to humbly decline your chess invitation. I use to play online for hours. Just on a novice level of course. Dunno if they're still around but Pogo was a nice site mainly becuz the 2D graphics were the best.

  4. Well, in Hawaii there are better things to do than play chess.
