Japanagain

Hullo, flock, from room 4705 of the ANA Gate Tower Hotel, 47th floor, in the town of Rinku, Osaka, Japan. Wish you were all here. No really, I wish you were. We could throw some chairs out the window or something.

Yesterday was actually a walk in the park. It usually is, when I have Tiny Tornado with me. He got to see the cockpit of the 767 that brought us from Seattle; I should have shoved him aside and said "No! It's MY TURN!"

But instead I stole a Delta blanket. Oh, sorry, two.

It's very sunny here on the 47th floor and we can see Osaka Bay as far as the eye can see. We hopped the shuttle and went to the airport, because that's where all the action is, and I loaded up on souvenirs and stuff.

It's off to the 25th floor to have lunch.

See you guys later.

  2. I swear, I love that hotel. Even though I only go twice a year, they ALL know me. One of the front desk girls covered her mouth and giggled and said "You're famous here."

This is a hotel that's the tallest in Osaka at 60-odd floors and I always request the highest floor they have, and I call from Montreal to reserve and it just must be so strange to have a foreigner speaking Osaka slang (let alone any Japanese at all!)

So I'm a minor celebrity. That always makes for a great stay! And yes, I'm back safe and sound and glad to be back with my virtual flock!
