The Unthinkable

On a day like today, when all my plants are wilting from the heat -- I did the unthinkable: I fired up my oven in my airless galley of a kitchen to 550 degrees for an hour and a half and prepared four pizzas.

I keep a thermometer in my kitchen and it registered 35 degrees.

But thank God, all the pizzas went off without a hitch, but I'm at the end of my rope.

  3. Madness!!! I have never been so glad to have A/C as I was last Monday. Humidex of 44C, anyone?

I think we have the only farmhouse around here with A/C and central vac! The place came with it.

  4. Yep, all the A/Cs are on plus about four fans so all is dandy except when I venture forth.

I grew up with A/C and would go mad without it and thank God Brigitte is a hothead and at the least mention of heat she's in front of some cooling device.

But I'm worried about the chicks. How are they taking the heat? Especially the black chick . . .

    :)
