Check It Twice

Here's a primitive but kind-of-neat system that will email you the grocery items you check off.

I have to go to Costco and I was trying to come up with a list (don't laugh, I know it's banal, but I might get some stuff at Atwater or J-T markets):
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nick's Grocery Check List

Pick up the following from the store:

__ Fresh Celery
__ Fresh Garlic
__ Fresh Onions
__ Fresh Peppers
__ Canned Tomatoes

__ Beef:
__ Hot dogs

__ Shrimp

__ Other Condiments:
__ Relish
__ Batteries
__ Italian Dressing
__ Potato Chips
__ Cheese
__ Spaghetti Pasta

__ Other Paper Items:
__ Ziplocs
__ Toilet Bowl Cleaners

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pretty cool, huh? Only something a geek could love.

  3. I know, I'm staying in making my take on Mexican hot chocolate, it took me a lot of testing, but here's the recipe. It was a success in school! Let me know if you like it:

    Spiced Hot Chocolate

    1 L milk
    2 cups of brown sugar
    ¾ cups cocoa powder
    1 pich ground cloves
    2 cinnamon sticks
    1 table spoon vanilla extract.

    1. In a Sauce pan heat up milk and add sugar, mix until the sugar is dissolved.
    2. Add the cinnamon stick and simmer.
    3. Add the cocoa powder and ground cloves. Mix constantly until fully incorporated.
    4. Add the vanilla extract.
    5. Serve hot and garnish with ground cinnamon.

A good excuse to stay indoors. Fuck the weather!

  4. It was pretty bad out yesterday (when I wrote that). OF COURSE I WENT OUT and joined the horde of relentless BARGAIN HUNTER-GATHERERS, and for what? To get a 15% discount on 12 bottles at SAQ and bulk cheeses at Costco.

I'm not a huge sweets fan, Arlette, but my girlfriend and my son will LOVE THIS RECIPE . . . and so will half the Congolese rebel army! I'll have to pare it down a tad . . .:)
