Ay yai yai, anything involving Chunky-brand Chicken Noodle soup is not *food*. Anything involving *anything* brand simulacra has pretty much nothing to do with food.
What it reminds me too much of is my parents, and what they considered food -- stroganoff made with Campbell's Mushroom soup. Margarine. Fat-free half-and-half. These "homey" recipes remind me of just that.
I hate to be elitist and I've been known to use Lipton Onion Soup to flavor many a gravy, but some of these recipes make food to seem to be an afterthought.
But that's because I'm looking forward to your chickens.
What, you don't like macaroni with milk? :P
